Social Work Month 2026

Social Work Month 2026 theme provided by the National Association of Social Workers

Each March, Social Work Month gives us an opportunity to recognize the individuals who make such a meaningful difference in the lives of others. This year’s theme, “Social Workers: Uplift. Defend. Transform.”, reflects the heart of what social workers do every day.

As a Registered Nurse and the owner of The Southern Touch Home Care, I have had the privilege of working alongside many incredible social workers throughout Augusta, Georgia and the CSRA. I have seen firsthand how they step into complex situations with compassion, professionalism, and a true commitment to helping others.

Social workers do not simply offer support. They advocate, guide, and help families navigate some of the most overwhelming moments of their lives.

💛 Uplift

One of the most powerful things social workers do is uplift individuals and families during difficult times.

In my experience working in home care throughout the CSRA, I have seen social workers provide reassurance when families feel uncertain and overwhelmed. They take the time to listen, understand, and help people feel supported when they need it most.

🤝 Defend

Social workers are strong advocates for those who may not always have a voice.

Throughout the CSRA healthcare community, I have witnessed social workers step in to ensure their clients receive the care, services, and respect they deserve. They work diligently to protect dignity and make sure individuals are not overlooked.

🌿 Transform

The impact of a social worker often goes far beyond a single interaction.

Through coordination, education, and persistence, social workers help transform outcomes for individuals and families. Whether it is connecting someone with in-home care services or guiding them through important decisions, their work creates meaningful and lasting change.

🙏 A Heartfelt Thank You

At The Southern Touch Home Care, we are grateful for the social workers who serve our community across the CSRA. Your compassion, advocacy, and dedication do not go unnoticed.

We value the relationships we have built and look forward to continuing to support the individuals and families you serve.

📞 Let’s Continue Working Together

If you are a social worker in Augusta, Georgia or the CSRA looking for a reliable home care provider, we would love to connect and support the families you serve.
